He has written hundreds of articles covering technical subjects, industry personalities, record reviews, equipment trends and industry best practices.

As a publicist, he has written and pitched hundreds of feature stories and press releases on four continents. He has planned and carried out complex communications strategies for multi-billion dollar organizations for product launches, executive announcements, technical announcements, mergers and acquisitions, and just about every other type of event.

As an author, he has written four critically acclaimed books: Making Tracks: Unique Recording Studio Environments (Schiffer, 2006), Careers in Audio (Cengage, 2008), Artists on Recording Techniques (Cengage, 2008) and Home Recording Studio Essentials (2009).  He is also author of two upcoming books: The Green Musician Guide (Cengage, 2010) and WSDG 40x40 (co-authoring with legendary studio designer John Storyk).

As a communicator, he has interviewed dozens of CEOs of well-known, innovative companies to groundbreaking music industry figures like Brian Wilson, Roger Waters and Tony Bennett. As an audio engineer and musician with his own studio, he is empathetic to the plight of music technology consumers.
